Those band members who were on board with the idea of a new direction entered Markus Stock’s Klangschmiede Studio E in 2009 to record BLUTMOND’s sophomore full-length album “Thirteen Urban Ways 4 Groovy Bohemian Days”. With new members recruited on guitar and saxophone, BLUTMOND was snapped up by Code666, a sub-label of Aural Music, and “Thirteen Urban Ways 4 Groovy Bohemian Days” was released.
In 2011 BLUTMOND once again entered Studio E for what proved to be a very long recording session, which produced a non-stop rollercoaster ride through the listener’s minds, and featured a few surprises and some notable guest appearances from the likes of Anna Murphy from ELUVEITIE, Managarm from VARG, Fredy Schnyder from NUCLEUS TORN and Markus Baltes from AUTUMNBLAZE etc. With their contract with Code666 renewed, BLUTMOND’s third full-length album, “The Revolution Is Dead!”, hit the streets in late 2012, garnering praise from both press and fans alike.
To miss-quote the old adage „some things always change“, and that’s why 2013 saw some line-up changes, when, in the summer of 2013, BLUTMOND was pleased to welcome Simon (Guitars) and Fabio (Drums) into its ranks – two musicians who brought some fresh air into the mix! After some intense shows, the world was finally ready to witness the new BLUTMOND and in the spring of 2014 the band hit the road.
Together with VULTURE INDUSTRIES and DORDEDUH, Eastern Europe was conquered and converted. Good times.
Freshly motivated, BLUTMOND are fisting the muse again for a new, and as yet untitled, album. Writing is leaping forward; thanks to Simons Black Art Studios in Liestal, which gives BLUTMOND a huge needed amount of more possibilities and allows working on the pre-production.
What can everyone expect from the fourth full-length album from the band? You’ll just have to wait and see, but one thing that you can be sure of is that BLUTMOND will not disappoint.
